Hello everyone!
We have temporarily revoked SSH access across all servers in response to a publicly disclosed security vulnerability affecting all Linux systems globally.
Out of an abundance of caution, and to protect the integrity of your data and services, we have taken this preventative measure while we work to fully assess and remediate the issue. As of writing this reply, there is no known fix, but we will deploy it as soon as it is available.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and working as quickly as possible to implement the necessary fixes and restore SSH access safely.
We will provide further updates as the situation develops. If you have any urgent questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
UPDATE:
As a precautionary measure in response to a publicly disclosed Linux security vulnerability, we disabled SSH access across all nodes while we conducted a full infrastructure audit. We are pleased to report that the audit has been completed and SSH access has now been fully restored.
While auditing our infrastructure, we found three separate instances of proof-of-concept testing related to the vulnerability. Apart from that, we found no evidence of any nodes or customer slots being compromised. We want to be transparent about this and reassure you that the integrity of your data and services remains intact.
However, as a precaution, we strongly urge all customers to take this opportunity and change their SSH passwords immediately. This is a simple but important step in ensuring your account remains secure going forward. The SSH password can be changed from the Connect tab on your User Control Panel.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Should any further exploits related to this vulnerability emerge, we may need to temporarily suspend SSH access again while we assess and apply the necessary patches. We will always communicate such actions promptly and keep disruption to a minimum.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Team Ultra
