UCP Password Expiry - Enable 2FA

- 05:28am
As part of our ongoing security improvements, we are introducing password expiry on all UCP accounts starting July 28, 2026.
What's changing
Your UCP password will now expire every 180 days. When it does, you will need to set a new password before you can log in again. Changing or resetting your password at any time restarts the 180-day clock.
What you need to do now
To kick things off, all existing customers will be asked to reset their password once. You will receive a separate email shortly with a personal reset link, which is valid for about 3 days, so please use it promptly.
Don't want password expiry? Enable 2FA
If you enable Two-Factor Authentication on your account, the 180-day password expiry no longer applies to you. We recommend it regardless, as it's the single best upgrade you can make to your account security. To enable it:
- Log in to the UCP
- Go to your Profile
- Click "Turn on Two-Factor Authentication"
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (or copy the code manually)
- Enter the generated 6-digit one-time code to confirm
How it works going forward
- When your password is due to expire, we will email you a reset link ahead of time.
- If your password has already expired when you try to log in, you will land on a "Password Expired" page where you can request a fresh reset link yourself.
- You can always see your next expiry date on your Profile page.
- If you enable 2FA, password expiry will be disabled.
We have also refreshed the design of the login, password reset, and logged-out pages while we were at it.
If you run into any issues resetting your password, just open a ticket and we will help you out.
Thanks,
Team Ultra
